One of the best parts of summer is training for grueling bike rides in the mountains of Colorado. I believe that pushing yourself to do hard things is an important part of being alive. My husband and I started doing charity bike rides over 15 years ago with the mantra of, “we ride for those who can’t.” I am very excited about joining The Courage Classic for the first time for a grueling bike ride for a great cause.
I was inspired to join this event by a co-worker who has been participating since he was in high school when a close friend was diagnosied with leukemia. I had an aunt whom I never met as she was taken by leukemia as a child. Treatments have advanced signficantly since then, but not enough as evidenced by the co-workers I have who have had to face this fight alongside their children. Please consider donating if you can.
