The Courage Classic is a two day biking event through the Rocky Mountains. Thousands of people come together to share their strength and their stories. Each year I am awe-struck and inspired by the powerful stories shared from families who have battled for their child's life. Some families share survival stories while others share heart-wrenching losses. Everyone participating in this event has the same goal--find a cure.
My husband Brandon is a survivor of childhood cancer and was cured at Children's Hospital. He now works alongside the nurses and doctors who saved his life. He has a zest for life that only someone who almost lost it could have. To see who Brandon has become and who he will continue to be, inspires me to help other children who are faced with similar life-threatening illnesses. Our two boys are so lucky to have a father like Brandon.
The money we raise goes directly towards children who are battling cancer. The money we have raised in previous years has paid for a new psychologist to emotionally support the children who are battling cancer and their families. In addition, the money has supported research studies for ground breaking treatments.
