In July, I will again be riding for the PICU Peloton in the Courage Classic to raise money on behalf of the patients we serve every day battling life-threatening illnesses at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
This year I am riding in honor of our multidisciplinary pediatric intensive care (PICU) team. Our team cares for some of the sickest kids in the country, yet our outcomes are some of the very best.
Our incredible team is made up of nurses, physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, dieticians, chaplains, child life specialists, social workers, clinical techs, environmental services, ECMO perfusionists, inpatient service specialists, medical interpreters, volunteers, clinical researchers, biomedical engineers, music therapists, speech therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists and even pet therapists.
Each person plays an integral role in the care we deliver and each of us understands that we absolutely couldn’t do it alone.
Please consider donating and we promise we will not only summit mountain passes together but we will also continue our fight to give every child facing critical illness at Children’s Hospital Colorado a chance for a healthy future.
