I am supporting the Courage Classic for kids that depend on Children's Hospital Colorado for vital medical and psychiatric care. This will be my 10th ride and I will be riding with my son Ronan for his 3rd tour. We are super excited to ride for Children's Hospital!
I was a psychiatric nurse for 2 years on the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit at Children's Hospital Colorado. It was an honor to help children and families who were struggling and needed our support.
My son was an oncology patient at Children's Hospital Colorado. It was a great feeling to give back to the hospital that saved our son's life. Ronan had neurosurgery for a spinal cord tumor at Children's Hospital and now is a happy and healthy boy. He is doing amazingly well and we have the entire team of doctors, nurses and practitioners that cared for Ronan at Children's to thanks for his amazing recovery. Ronan and I will ride together to support all the kids and their dedicated caregivers.
