Jennifer Sarah Weaver was diagnosed with the rare Chronic Granulomatous Disease at 3 years of age and bravely fought through many serious infections due to the inability of her white blood cells to function. Despite her many intense illnesses and frequent surgeries, Jennifer always had a smile on her face, a twinkle in her eye, and managed to graduate from Luther College with a degree in education in 2000. Following a bone marrow transplant and graft versus host disease, Jennifer fought through many more hospitalizations, finally succumbing to her illness on the eve of the Courage Classic in 2006, at the age of 28 years. Her family from Bozeman, MT and her many friends join us each year on our team.
