On Dec 22nd, 1984 my mother and little brother were in a serious car accident where they were struck by a vehicle that ran a red light. My brother was one year old. He spent Christmas at the Children's Hospital ICU where he received excellent care and made a full recovery. I am dedicating my 14,000 ft climb to the summit of Mt. Bierstadt to my brother Nicholas, and to all the other families out there who have a complete family thanks to the Children's Hospital.
