With mental health concerns mounting on a daily basis, I am trying to do my part by spreading the word about the growing threat of mental health issues in children. It is very alarming to learn that suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death in youth ages 15-24 and that 20% of teens between 13 and 18 live with a mental health condition.
Speaking from my personal experience, getting the help I needed has not only been a life-altering experience, but a life-saving as well. Our society still deems asking for help as a weakness which leads to therapy and mental health being stigmatized. I won't stand for that at all and I have done my best to put my journey out into the world so everyone can see first hand what a world of difference therapy can make on an individual.
I am asking you today to consider joining me on Friday, Aug 4 to climb Mt. Bierstadt and raise money for children's mental health awareness. It's an easy way for you to show your support to our future generations and to reach out your hand to someone in need.
The registration starts at just $25/individual and you can of course donate more if you wish. In fact, you don't even have to make the climb! You can donate in your name or on behalf of someone else to support the cause.
Let's show the world that it's not too late to change and that we can prepare the future generations of this world for anything that comes their way. Register now with Team Panda to show that you want to be a part of change! Coloradoclimbingforkids.com
